We were appointed to develop flexible hotel proposals for a difficult land-locked site on the busy thoroughfare of Jamaica St. Taking a previous Hotel Planning Consent we challenged the design solution to improve on the commercially viability of the development, and maximise the opportunities with numerous budget hotel operators.
This development required significant pre-application planning discussions with Glasgow City Council and ultimately a successful presentation to the Glasgow Urban Design Panel.
Technically we resolved the constraints of constructing on 3 boundaries and ultimately developed a financially viable proposal for the Client who felt confident taking it to the market.
