Almondvale Neighbourhood

Our proposals strive to develop an identifiable neighbourhood around the Almondvale Stadium, Livingston and to address the requirement for housing adjacent to the town centre while supporting and augmenting existing retail, commercial and leisure provision in the locality.

The physical masterplanning and massing strategy employs best practice in Urban Design in order to create a ‘sense of place’. By the definition and enclosure of space between buildings, the proposals deliver a design solution specific to the site. Through structured landscaping and the employment of ‘Home Zone’ philosophies to the residential element, a balance is drawn between the need to accommodate traffic and the desire to create a readily accessible, pedestrian focused community.
