This new build retail and refurbishment visitor centre for Tullibardine consisted of demolishing a bonded warehouse to accommodate six new retail units, and refurbishing and converting the remaining bonded warehouses into a successful visitor attraction, providing a total of 50,000sqft of retail space.
As well as accommodating distillery tours the centre comprises both retail and café facilities. The new build provides the anchor tenant with 25,000sqft of retail and restaurant accommodation with a further 15,000sqft of retail space for other tenants.
The aesthetic of the new build closely follows that of the converted part of the distillery.
Contemporary materials and fenestration compliment the distillery vernacular. Large openings, distinct roof lines and crisp, white render offer a simplicity that is respectful of its surroundings.
