Plans for the mixed-use masterplan by Threesixty Architecture for Ashfield Land has been granted planning approval by Aberdeenshire Council.
Located two miles north of Aberdeen’s city limits, the Blackdog development supports three separate planning applications including the proposals for a new sustainable mixed-use community. At the heart of this gateway development for the Energetica Corridor project, will be the Blackdog Town Centre, a mixed-use hub comprising of retail, food hall, cinema, hotel and restaurants. The new Town centre will be surrounded by a mix of 600 new homes and office spaces, meeting the needs of the local community.
Threesixty Architecture have designed the retail and leisure hub, with supporting business and industrial use to the north of the site, whilst a residential section to the south has been designed by Optimised Environments (OPEN) and William Lippe Architects for Kirkwood Homes. Optimised Environments are also serving as landscape consultants for the entire master plan.
