On Friday we were delighted to pick up a British Council of Offices (BCO) Regional Award for Highlands and Islands Enterprise’s (HIE) Office / Life Sciences project on the new Inverness Campus. This fantastic achievement was not possible without the vision of our Client, Consultant Team, and the delivery by Morrison Construction.
The 1,000sqm GIA two storey building has been designed to be as flexible and adaptable as possible while responding to the surrounding campus and campus development brief. In addition the building achieves a BREEAM Excellent rating.
The site layout has been designed with an integral expansion strategy allowing for numerous future possibilities and configurations. The building itself has open plan floor plates that have been designed to allow the building to be subdivided in a number of different ways, allowing it to be used for life sciences, office space or a combination of both. All services are integrated and shared facilities are located with the main core to allow the accommodation wings to be flexible and adaptable.
