We are currently employed within a Multidisciplinary Team on a design framework for small and medium-sized projects in Shetland. Through this successful partnership, we have delivered refurbishments in the live hospital environment, conversion various Council properties for NHS services, and redevelopment of various outlying GP surgeries throughout the Islands over the past 10 years.
At Gilbert Bain Hospital, projects include the formation of an expanded Ambulatory Care Unit within the Theatre suite, upgrade of Ward 3 to create a specialist Respiratory Care Unit, renal decontamination facilities, Maternity refresh, and proposals to refurbish A&E, X-ray, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy departments. Through this catalogue of projects we have demonstrated a clear understanding of phasing works within a live hospital environment, which is critical to the ongoing operational demands and maintaining service provision.
At Montfield Hospital we have completed a conversion of closed wards to create a 10,000sqft combined office, conference, and training facility for NHS Shetland’s Estates Department and the Council’s Social Services.
