Solasta House at Plot 8 Inverness Campus, sits alongside and complements Aurora House, an award-winning building also designed by Threesixty Architecture and Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE). While working within the Campus Design Guidelines our project for the 2350sqm. building was inspired, both conceptually and aesthetically, by its predecessor, Aurora House.
Our brief was to design a building flexible enough to house life science labs, generic offices or a combination of both. The design can accommodate a number of tenants in various configurations, or be easily adapted for a sole occupier/HQ building.
The building has been designed to be viewed from all sides, with the entrance addressing the main campus green. The concept is that of a timber box intersected by a copper clad form that defines the entrance experience and frames the internal multi-functional space.
