This is the first phase of a strategic mixed-use expansion of Lesmahagow. A key aspect is the inclusion of Live/Work units to reinforce the sustainability of the development and generate employment opportunities on the site.
We sought to create a sustainable, phased, mixed-use masterplan comprising c.190 residential and Live/Work units. The scheme embraces the aspirations of the Designing Streets policy in creating a quality of spaces where the car is accommodated, but is not the key design driver. Work areas are orientated to be visually connected to one another creating ‘business hubs’, the largest of which contains a communal community hub building.
